Whitney Fox, CRNP-PMH

Whitney Fox, CRNP-PMH is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner who is board certified through the ANCC in Psychiatric-Mental Health.   

Whitney has over seven years of experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in outpatient community mental health, where she provided medication management and brief psychotherapy to adult clients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Whitney also has several years of leadership and supervisory experience in the role of Medical Director. Prior to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Whitney worked over six years as a registered nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Psychiatric Emergency Services. Whitney served in various roles including senior clinical nurse, charge nurse, clinical preceptor, and as part of the hospital’s Behavioral Emergency Response Team. 

Whitney completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she received a Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Criminology/Criminal Justice in 2007.  Whitney then received her Master’s degree at the University of Maryland School of Nursing through the Clinical Nurse Leader program in 2010, and her Post-Master’s degree through the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program in 2016. Whitney completed her clinical training at various Baltimore-area medical facilities, including the University of Maryland Medical Center, private and community-based outpatient psychiatry clinics, and adult medical rehabilitation programs.  
Whitney is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Honors Society of Nursing.
