I was nervous for my first appointment with Dr. Uyanwune because I had just moved from out of state and needed to continue care to receive the medications that I needed. I wasn't sure what to expect. However, once I entered the office, my worries subsided. The front office staff were friendly. Dr. U was supportive, personable, and caring. I felt supported in continuing my medications. I'm so glad that I chose MIU for psychiatric care.

Dr Uyanwune is such a lovely person. She supported me when I was at my most vulnerable. She reassured me through my life process and was not judgemental about anything. Dr. Uyanwune is fantastic!! Yesterday was my first appointment with her, and she really took the time to listen to me. I’ve heard horror stories from other people where their psychiatrist just writes them a script and calls it a day, but she gave me options regarding medication, and she’s just very thorough. Super easy to talk to and receptive of my issues

The decor when you walk into the office was very welcoming and soothing. The doctor was very kind and listened well to everything I had to say. It was a very pleasant experience.

I’ve had a few psychiatrists over the past 11 years and Dr. Uyanwune is the absolute best, bar none. 1000/10 would recommend. Her main selling point is her individualized plus a dedication and preciseness to ensure that we can achieve ?the best possible results. I’ve never had ANY Doc be so invested in my health, and I’ve seen A LOT of doctors over the years. In addition to going above and beyond for her patients, she’s prompt, friendly, communicative, has a great office staff, incredibly detailed orientated, and more.

Dr. Munachim gets it. From her excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like.

I have seen a few psychiatrists in the past, and my experience with Dr. U was the best I have ever experienced. Dr. U made me feel very comfortable. She was took her time, was thourough, is experienced, articulate, intelligent, and I really felt I could open up to her and feel heard. she addressed all my concerns and was very easy to talk to. I've heard many stories of psychiatrists being cold because 'their job is to prescribe you medicine not listen to your problems' but I didn't feel that with her at all. would totally recommend if this is your first psychiatrist or if you're nervous.
